WIN Energy Announces New CEO

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — WIN Energy has announced a new CEO following the retirement of the previous CEO after more than 45 years of service.

WIN Energy has announced that Leslie Beard will be its new interim CEO, effective August 1, 2024. Beard has 23 years of service with the company. After graduating from Indiana University’s Kelly’s School of Business, she joined WIN Energy as a customer service representative. During her time with the company, she has progressed through the ranks from billing representative to director of marketing and communications to director of marketing and member services, and has served as chief operating officer since 2020.


During her 23 years of service, she also earned her BMA from the University of Southern Indiana and completed several industry-specific training programs. Beard is also an active member of her community as the Marketing Chair and Executive Committee Member for Knox County Indiana Economic Development. She is also a board member for Gibson County Economic Development Corporation, Terre Haute Economic Development Corporation and the Vincennes Area Builder’s Association.

Beard is excited about the CEO role. She said, “It is an honor to have this opportunity. I feel privileged to work with such a dedicated Board of Directors and lead an exceptional team of employees who are all focused on serving our members and communities. I am excited about the future as we all work together to navigate the evolving utility industry.”
