Driver nearly hit Glastonbury police officer while fleeing traffic stop, police say

GLASTONBURY — Police are searching for the driver of a white Hyundai they say nearly hit a police officer Sunday in South Glastonbury.

They said they were also looking for the driver’s escort.

The two men were in a white 2013 Hyundai Elantra with what police said was a fake temporary license plate, 92F4343.

The driver fled during a traffic stop near the Cotton Hollow Reservation in South Glastonbury, nearly hitting a police officer in the process, police said.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes either person to call them at 860-633-8301.
