Man filmed stealing Amazon van in Midtown

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are searching for a man they say stole an Amazon van while the driver was making a delivery in Midtown Sunday afternoon.

MPD said when the driver pulled into a residence on North Cooper Street and Court Avenue, the thief jumped into the vehicle and fled.

Investigators released photos of the suspect that appear to have been taken by a camera inside the Amazon vehicle.

The van was later found in the 500 block of Leath Street in North Memphis. Police did not say if anything was stolen from inside the vehicle.
