These pets are ready to settle into their future home: yours!

Sweet Mihu, #A511851, needs an active family

Mihu is a young, exuberant and energetic Great Dane who can’t wait to meet you!

One of Mihu’s favorite things to do is lean his 40-kilogram body toward anyone who is lucky enough to be standing next to him. He doesn’t seem to understand that he’s a big dog, but no one seems to mind because of his charming and clumsy personality.

Mihu loves playing with toys and learning training commands. He is very food motivated and because of this, Pasadena Humane volunteers have been able to teach him several tricks. He has mastered the art of “sit,” “down,” and even “shake.”

Due to his size and energy level, an active home would be ideal for Mihu. He would be a great hiking companion who will also be a great cuddle buddy afterward. Come meet this big-hearted sweetheart today.

Mihu and all other dogs over 40 pounds can be adopted for free during Pasadena Humane’s “Big Dog Summer” adoption event, which ends July 25.

The regular adoption fee for dogs is $150. All dog adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccinations.

View photos of adoptable animals and schedule an adoption appointment on the website. Adoptions are by appointment only and new adoption appointments are available at 10am on Sundays and Wednesdays. Walk-ins are available from 2pm to 5pm daily.

Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone or email. pasadenahumane.org

Reese, #A513961, is fun and loving

Reese is a fun guy who has gone unnoticed at Pasadena Humane for far too long! This handsome 3 year old husky is ready to shine.

At first, Reese was very nervous at the shelter and would sometimes hide in the back of his cage. Thankfully, he has come out of his shell a bit and is now very happy to see the volunteers who take him out for exercise. He walks alongside them, tail wagging happily as he struts around.

Reese weighs about 20 kilos, so he is smaller than your average husky. However, he packs a lot of fun and entertainment into his small body.

He loves playing with toys. He often plays fetch with himself, throwing the toy in the air to chase it without needing someone to throw it for him.

He would like to live in a quieter home as he will probably need some time to acclimate to his new surroundings. Once he settles in, he will be the most fun dog you can imagine! Come meet this sweet dog today!

Sunny D, loves to be held

Sunny D is almost 2 years old and is a very sweet and affectionate cat looking for a calm forever home. He has been with his foster family and is not quite used to new people yet, so he will be shy at first until he feels more comfortable. But once he warms up, Sunny D will be your go-to cat for cuddles and kisses.

Sunny D loves his humans and loves to be held, he gives sweet kisses and purrs like crazy to show his contentment. Playtime is one of his favorite activities and he enjoys every moment spent with his toys.

He is not used to other cats, but if he is gradually introduced to a friendly feline, he will be able to adapt. He has never been in contact with dogs.

He only needs one daily allergy pill to stay healthy, which can be given in wet food, so his adopter will need to be responsible and committed to his care.

Volunteers at Lifeline for Pets said Sunny D has become one of the most affectionate and charming cats they have ever had the pleasure of rescuing.

He’s gone from whistling to kissing! Consider opening your heart to this little darling. Sunny D is ready to bring joy, love, and endless purrs into your life.
