Inside the charming forest near Kent that inspired Winne the Pooh’s The Forest of Dreams

For years I have been a fan of the tales of Christopher Robin and his friends, including Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and others. For those who love these heartwarming stories, Ashdown Forest in Hartfield, near Kent, is the perfect place to experience the Hundred Acre Forest.

Hartfield is famous as the home of AA Milne, the author of the Winnie the Pooh books, and is located in the Wealden district of East Sussex. Every year, people from all over the world visit Ashdown Forest and the town of Hartfield to play Winnie the Pooh sticks and visit the ‘silly bear’ café at Pooh Corner.

You can park at the Winnie the Pooh car park, take a leisurely stroll through the forest and keep your eyes peeled for the various character houses on the way to the Winnie the Pooh Stick Bridge. The forest is where the characters reside, and as soon as you step inside, you are immersed in the world of Winnie the Pooh.

During my adventure, we parked at Pooh’s car park, walked through the forest and kept an eye out for the various character houses on our way to Pooh’s Stick Bridge, reports Sussex Live.

Here are all the elements of the walk that you can enjoy:

The Piglet’s House

The first house you come across on the walk is Piglet’s house. In Piglet’s house, there was a bag of notebooks and pens by the door where people had written messages to the characters about their time in the 100 Acre Forest.
