Chair offered with ‘Mahaprasad’ of deity Dolakha Bhimeshwar « Khabarhub

KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel received the mahaprasad brought from Dolakha Bhimeshwar temple.

A team comprising officials and priests of Dolakha Bhimeshwar Temple Trust and Management Committee presented the mahaprasad to the Chief Minister at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas today.

There is a tradition of presenting the head of state with the cotton swab with which the water droplets appearing on the surface of the statue of the deity Bhimeshwar at the Bhimeshwar temple are wiped off as the mahaprasad.

The atonement cult is performed according to tradition at the Temple, asking for forgiveness from the deity, after handing over the mahaprasad to the head of state.

The left side of the statue of deity Bhimsen is said to have “sweated” on Saturday.
