Richard Simmons’ Staff Reveals Final Message and Photo He Prepared for Fans Before His Death

Richard Simmons had one last message for the world before his untimely death.

As the world continues to mourn the legendary fitness guru, his team has revealed a few final treasures from the man himself. And they’re incredibly healthy. On Saturday, Richard’s “staff” retired X (Twitter) revealed that he had one last message planned for fans, as he was known for sharing messages and photos on social media every weekend. His team wrote:

“From Richard’s Team: Hello everyone. Richard worked very hard on his posts for you. He had many ideas and worked backwards and forwards… going back over each one and making changes until he got it exactly what he wanted before publishing.”

They continued:

“As you know, on the weekends he would just share a photo with a caption. He would always choose his photos and write his captions for the upcoming weekend before Friday. So here we have the post that Richard had planned to share with you last Sunday. We thought you might want to see it.”

The staff then shared a photo of the fitness icon sporting gray hair and an orange NASA spacesuit while smiling in front of a colorful background. His last message is:

“Let me take you to the moon so we can gaze at the stars. With love, Richard.”

According to his team, the post was supposed to go live on Sunday, July 14, but as we all know, he sadly passed away a day before that after falling in his bathroom and reportedly refusing medical assistance.

His brother Lenny said People He was buried on Friday in a private funeral:

“Our beloved Dicky was laid to rest this morning surrounded only by his closest family and friends. We pray that you continue to love and support us during this very difficult time.”

According to a death certificate obtained by TMZhe was buried at the Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles.
