Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton clash on TV after Hungarian Grand Prix

Lando Norris was in no mood to hear praise from Lewis Hamilton as their awkward exchange was caught on TV after the F1 Hungarian Grand Prix.

McLaren secured their first one-two finish since the 2021 Italian Grand Prix, with Oscar Piastri claiming his maiden F1 victory.

Norris led the race after the second round of pit stops after having the opportunity to get the better of his teammate.

The British driver was then forced to fall back and give the advantage back to Piastri.

Naturally, after the race, Norris was not in his usual cheerful mood as another victory slipped away from him.

The top three have the opportunity to chat after the race in the cooling room.

Hamilton tried to compliment Norris, but Norris responded with a strange response.

“You’re fast,” Hamilton said first.

Norris did not take Hamilton’s innocent comment well.

“Yeah, well you had a fast car seven years ago,” Norris replied.

Hamilton said, “Seven years ago? That’s a long time. Were you here seven years ago?”

Norris added: “Well, you had it. You had a fast car. You made the most of it. Now it’s our turn.”

Hamilton was quick to clarify that he was not complaining but simply paying a compliment.
