Liverpool’s away kit for the 2024/25 season appears to have been confirmed, with the Reds U18s having debuted the jersey at a tournament in Germany. The kit has been teased for several months after initial leaks emerged showing the turquoise trim on the shoulders and sleeve cuffs on a dark grey jersey.

Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have inadvertently revealed the kit Liverpool will wear when travelling in England and in the Champions League this season. The young Reds are in action in the Bundesliga Sparkassen Cup at Schwäbisch Hall in Baden-Württemberg, where they will face St Pauli, Hoffenheim and the young players of Eintracht Frankfurt.

The away kit has yet to be unveiled or released, but it is now available to buy online. Earlier in May, Liverpool unveiled their home kit, worn in Jürgen Klopp’s final Premier League game, a 2-0 win over Wolves.

The iconic red jersey is inspired by the 1983/84 season, in which Liverpool won the treble by winning the league, European Cup and League Cup. This is the fourth season that sports giant Nike has supplied the club with football kits, training and leisurewear, but it could be their last as a manufacturer after rumours of a rebranding to German brand Adidas.

The current deal with Nike is said to have been a £30m lump sum for Liverpool, but with a hefty percentage going to the Reds on the sale of Nike/Liverpool merchandise. This was thought to take the deal to around £60m per season.

Speaking to The Athletic in April, Liverpool commercial director Ben Latty said: “As for Nike, given the sheer volume of kits we produce globally and the distribution that goes into a deal like that, there’s a long way to go to those types of deals.

“We have ongoing discussions with them. I can’t break confidentiality about the direction they’re taking.”
