Lazio make decision on disgruntled Napoli striker offered to club

Napoli striker Giovanni Simeone has been offered to Lazio, but the club are not interested in a deal.

The Biancocelesti have already worked hard during the summer transfer window, completing deals for Loum Tchaouna, Tijjani Noslin, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Cristo Munoz, Gabriele Artistico, Gaetano Castrovilli and Nuno Tavares, trying to kickstart a new era under Marco Baroni.

In recent days, there have been rumours of an offer from Simeone to Lazio, who are looking for a way out of Naples after the arrival of Antonio Conte. The Argentine forward struggled to get regular playing time last season and is not part of the new project in the Campania capital.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio would not be interested in the transfer of Simeone from Napoli this summer, wanting to trust Valentin Castellanos after the recent transfer of Ciro Immobile to Besiktas. Noslin would be the second striker to compete with him, and therefore, there would be no place for a starting position for the Argentine in the team; a situation similar to the one he is currently experiencing with the Partenopei.

In the meantime, the Biancocelesti are working hard to try to strike a deal with Sassuolo for Armand Lauriente, trying to bridge the €4-5 million gap between offer and price.
