‘Sex Education’ Star Chinenye Ezeudu Joins ‘Silent Roar’ Cast From ‘The Inbetweeners’ Producer Chris Young (EXCLUSIVE)

Emerging star Chinenye Ezeudu has joined the cast of Young Films’ Silent Roar, alongside Louis McCartney (“Grounding”), Ella Lily Hyland (“Intruder”) and Mark Lockyer (“Holby City”).

The film, a contemporary tale of adolescence and surfing on an island in the Scottish Hebrides, is produced by Chris Young (The Inbetweeners Movie) and written and directed by BAFTA nominee Johnny Barrington. Silent Roar is being filmed in the community of Uig on the Isle of Lewis and is produced by Young Films with funding from BBC Film, BFI and Screen Scotland.

“I am really excited to be joining Silent Roar and look forward to working alongside Ella, Louis and Mark,” said Ezeudu. Variety“Johnny has written a great script with a really unique take on the teenage experience and it’s a pleasure to film in beautiful Scotland.”

Ezeudu is best known for her role as Vivienne “Viv” Odesanya in the hit Netflix series “Sex Education,” alongside Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Emma Mackey and Ncuti Gatwa. The third season, set to premiere on September 17, will continue to explore the students’ coming-of-age stories and relationships as they navigate school and their journey to adulthood.

The actor recently wrapped filming on Netflix’s film adaptation of “School for Good and Evil” starring Kerry Washington and Charlize Theron. Based on the fantasy novel series by Soman Chainani and directed by Paul Feig, the story is set in a school that trains students to become fairy tale heroes and villains. The film is slated for release in 2022. Ezeudu has also worked on another Netflix series, “Harlan Coben’s The Stranger.”

Ezeudu is represented by Curtis Brown.
