Emirates A380 collides with jetway at Paris CDG

On July 22, an Emirates Airbus A380 collided with a jetway at Paris CDG airport, damaging its engine cowling.

The Airbus A380-800 with registration A6-EDO arrived from Dubai as flight number EK71. However, the A380 collided with a jetway while taxiing to the gate. The aircraft’s left outer engine was damaged, but no one was injured.

The damaged A380, built in 2010, is currently grounded. As a result, the return flight EK72 from Paris to Dubai has been cancelled.

Emirates has not yet released details of the incident or the extent of the damage. Investigations are likely underway to determine the circumstances of the collision.
