Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine had its world premiere last night at the David H. Koch Theater in New York City, and it seems the fashion got more attention than the movie.

The star-studded cast wowed on the red carpet, including leads Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Leslie Uggams and Wunmi Mosaku.

Corrin, 28, arrived sans pants, turning heads in her high-cut, shimmering black bodysuit and off-the-shoulder fur shawl. The look was completed with a pair of black patent leather pointed heels with scalloped detailing.

Among the guests, Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively and Avril Lavigne appeared to follow varying dress codes. Ryan Reynolds, 47, and Hugh Jackman, 55, wore simple black tuxedos while their guests wowed them with themed looks.

Actress Blake Lively, 36, paid homage to her husband’s iconic red suit with a skintight Deadpool-inspired jumpsuit. The suit was by Atelier Versace: one of his most-worn red carpet labels. Made from red-coated latex with an embroidered black bodice, the off-the-shoulder silhouette brought a scandalous sex appeal to the premiere.

Keeping with the BFF tradition, the actor teamed up with model Gigi Hadid, 29, who wore a monochrome mustard yellow Miu Miu look, reminiscent of Hugh Jackman’s character Wolverine, and paired the look with chunky bracelets and a handbag adorned with Deadpool-inspired keychains and charms.

The blonde bombshell wore a strapless bandana-inspired crop top with a matching pleated midi skirt. She added a chunky suede belt to her low-rise skirt. She styled the 2000s look with a Hollywood-inspired bob, evoking old-school glamour.

Other celebrities, however, opted for a more understated look, including singer Avril Lavigne, 39, who embraced her quintessential grunge look with a baggy gray T-shirt, black leather pants and her signature pale pink blonde curls.

Deadpool star Brianna Hildebrand, 28, opted for a more demure look and embraced the summer trend in the form of a strapless A-line dress. The polka dot dress, a print favoured by the Princess of Wales, was a timeless choice alongside the evening’s Marvel-inspired looks.

Deadpool actor Leslie Uggams, 81, who stars in the new Marvel collaboration, exuded superhero confidence in an abstract, collared blazer with silver sequined pants and highlighted striped hair.

British actor Wunmi Mosaku, 37, who played Hunter B-15 in Loki and Deadpool & Wolverine, wore a plunging black and silver dress with matching silver stilettos and a high, sleek ponytail.

British actor Lewis Tan, 37, known for his role as Shatterstar in Deadpool 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine, wore an oversized brown-khaki suit with tan leather lapels. His model girlfriend, Lucy Qiu, wore a mauve maxi dress with gold details and accessories.
