1968 Ford Bronco 250 Engine for sale on BaT Auctions – ending August 2nd (lot #156,932)

This 1968 Ford Bronco is a semi-automatic cab pickup that was acquired by the seller in June 2017 and has been refurbished under the current ownership. Work reportedly included rebuilding the 250-cubic-inch inline-six, rebuilding the carburetor, freshening the interior, repainting the exterior blue, and replacing the clutch and brake components. Additional equipment includes a three-speed manual transmission, dual-range transfer case, 15-inch steel wheels, a raised suspension, manual locking front hubs, a receiver hitch, and a roll cage. This Bronco is offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The truck has been repainted blue and equipment includes a roll cage, black soft top, trailer hitch, and black bumpers. The seller states that the right rear panel and right front fender were replaced while they were owned. The seller notes that water gets into the front foot wells when the windshield is wet.

The 15-inch steel wheels with a white finish are mounted on Goodyear Wrangler tires. The truck rides on a raised suspension, and additional equipment includes manual locking front hubs and Tom’s Bronco Parts shocks. The brake drums were reportedly replaced in 2017.

The seating surfaces have been reupholstered in black vinyl, and amenities include a retro-style stereo, a locking center console, and black carpets. The horn has been moved to the dash, the heater is not installed, and the buttons above the stereo do not work. The front floorboards were replaced under the current owner, according to the seller.

The replacement steering wheel features a 100-mph speedometer surrounded by auxiliary gauges for voltage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer reads 54,000 miles, approximately 7,000 of which were added under current ownership. The seller states that the speedometer has been rebuilt. Total mileage is unknown.

The 250 cubic inch inline six was installed under the previous owner and was reportedly rebuilt in 2018, with the carburetor reportedly rebuilt at that time. The seller states that the auxiliary fuel tank was replaced in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels via a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The clutch was reportedly replaced in 2018.
