Get up to 18 games for under each with Fanatical’s August Platinum Bundle

Fanatical’s build-your-own bundles often shine a spotlight on great games and hidden gems, and this month’s Platinum Collection is a perfect example. The range includes four games that have never been included in a Fanatical bundle before, and seven games that have never been included in bundles before. period. Like other Build Your Own offerings from Fanatical, the Platinum Collection lets you choose from a bundle of PC games to create your own pack, and the savings get better as you add more games. The bundle starts with three games for $3.33 each ($10 total). Add five games and you’ll pay $3 each, and if you select seven or more games for your Platinum Collection, you’ll pay just $2.86 each. If you get all 18 titles, you’ll pay just $51.41 for the bundle.

There are a few notable items among Fanatical’s choices for this pack, the most notable being DMC: The Devil May CryThe reimagining of the original Devil May Cry updates the PlayStation 2 original with a contemporary setting and cleaned-up combat, while retaining what makes the franchise great: ridiculous, over-the-top demon-slaying action.

You can also hang Trover Saves the Universea wacky title from Squanch Games with a Rick and Morty-like sense of humor. And speaking of TV-inspired games, there’s the Cobra Kai Collectionwhich features two side-scrolling brawlers inspired by the Netflix series that updates the Karate Kid franchise (and is excellent, by the way).

A secret rough diamond, however, could be Remember me. The 2013 action game was developed by Life is Strange studio Dontnod Entertainment. While some of its ideas are a bit sloppy (it relies heavily on combat very similar to the Batman Arkham games, with environmental traversal very similar to Uncharted), it’s set in a beautiful and fascinating sci-fi dystopia and has some very cool mechanics related to digging into other people’s memories. It’s underrated, if only for its glitchy, synth-heavy orchestral soundtrack.

These are just a few of the 18 games coming to Fanatical’s Build Your Own Platinum Collection bundle in August 2024.
