Princess Beatrice named Tatler’s best dressed person of 2024

Princess Beatrice’s style has changed a lot in recent years, especially since her marriage to Edo Mapelli Mozzi. I tend to believe that Edo is a fashion fanatic and a dandy, and he influenced Beatrice to change her style and wear more flattering clothes. Beatrice has also lost weight in recent years, especially after giving birth to her daughter Sienna. Unfortunately, this weight loss means that more and more designers want to dress Beatrice too. Overall, it’s been a good style season for Beatrice and she now tops Tatler’s best dressed list.

Princess Beatrice topped the list of best-dressed celebrities, beating out Cruz Beckham and Lady Starmer. The magazine dubbed Beatrice the “princess of perfection”, calling her “a paragon of sartorial elegance, combining vintage-inspired tailoring with catwalk glamour”.

But Princess Beatrice hasn’t always been lauded for her fashion sense. After her cousin Prince William married Kate Middleton in 2011, she was heavily criticised for her look, particularly her Philip Treacy “pretzel” hat (which she later auctioned off for charity).

Charlie Anderson, a former stylist to Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, told PEOPLE: “They got trashed by the press, and it was a bit unfair.”

Princess Beatrice has since refined her style and Anderson said: “I think they’re achieving that overall. I think they’re more daring, although they’ve always been quite daring, and they seem to be getting to know each other better.”

You can see Tatler’s list here. Cruz Beckham is actually on it… at #3. Which is to say this list is very weird. Yet it feels like Tatler is still doing this weird thing of not-so-subtly teasing Queen Camilla AND the Princess of Wales. Tatler insists that… Kate can’t be the best dressed when she’s away most of the time, and Camilla’s tarps and dressing gowns are not in style. Beatrice really IS the best dressed royal these days.
