Drummer Brandon Zackey Leaves Enterprise Earth, Joins Whitechapel

Drummer Brandon Zackey Leaves Enterprise Earth, Joins Whitechapel

After five years behind the drums for Enterprise Earth, drummer Brandon Zackey is no longer with the band. It’s been a while since anyone has seen Zackey play that role since he left to play Whitechapel.

After being apart from the band for so long, both parties have decided to go their separate ways and make things official. Enterprise Earth has since revealed that drummer Aron Hetsko is their newest member and that Whitechapel has officially signed Zackey as their full-time drummer.

This news comes from a fairly definitive statement from Enterprise Earth, which called the separation “bittersweet.”

“It is with bittersweet hearts that we announce the passing of our drummer of the last 5+ years, Mr. President, Mr. Hands, the one and only, Brandon Zackey.

“As some of you already know, Brandon has been filling in for a small band called Whitechapel for the past couple of years and has missed a few of our tours due to schedule overlaps, with Aron Hetsko filling in for most of them. Brandon has officially accepted the position of Whitechapel’s full-time drummer, with our encouragement and blessing.

“Brandon is our bandmate, our brother, and the best drummer we’ve ever played with and we couldn’t be happier to have him join one of the most legendary bands in our genre as there is no one more worthy of the position. While we wish we could clone him, unfortunately the intense schedules of being in two full-time touring bands are HUGE and have already led to several touring conflicts, in addition to Brandon spending almost all of his time on the road between the two bands. For this reason, we have amicably decided to part ways as it is the best thing for all of us.”

“In addition to being an incredible drummer and band member, he has been a vital part of EE on and off stage. His home has been our home base for years (Thanks Annette Frawley, Jim and Angie Zackey, we love you too!) and he will always be a part of the EE family. We love Brandon very much, so please continue to support him on his journey!”

“With Brandon’s departure, we would like to announce our new drummer Aron Hetsko! After touring with Aron for a few years, we knew we had our man in case Brandon could no longer make both shows. He has worked tirelessly to honor and faithfully recreate all of Brandon’s parts with fire and intensity to the best of his ability, no easy feat given Brandon’s prowess, while also adding his own twist and personality. We couldn’t be happier to have Aron join the EE team and after seeing him perform, we’re sure you all will be too!”

“Check out Aron’s playthrough of Malevolent Force on our YT, link in bio.”

Oddly enough, Whitechapel have remained fairly silent on the line-up change on their side.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t help but feel for the guys from Enterprise Earth. It seems like they’re going to miss playing with Zackey, but at the same time, they’re happy for their buddy and ready to move on. Hopefully, both groups will do well in the future!
