Eevee and Friends Invite Fans to Join Them for a Stylish Engagement on Omotesando.

You can make a pretty strong argument that Eevee is the most chic PokemonNot only does Eevee have the most evolutions of any pocket monster, each with its own distinctive aesthetic and feel, but the Gen-I Normal-type is often the go-to choice for designers when it comes to frilly and fashionable Pokémon products.

And as the most whimsical Pokémon, it’s only fitting that Eevee would be the inspiration for a most elegant meal, because Tokyo’s luxury hotel The Strings Omotesando to offer afternoon Eevee tea class.

You may remember The Strings Tokyo from our visit last year, when we took part in their limited-time Pikachu Afternoon Tea. This time, however, it’s Eevee’s turn to take centre stage, a spotlight shared by all Eevee Evolutionsor “Eevee Friends” as the event calls them.

▼ Although The Strings use the less common spelling “Eievui”

Each of Eevee’s straight evolutions is represented in the spread, which includes seven sweet dishes and three savory dishes.Naturally, the sweetest ones are the most important, so let’s start with them.

Right away, the Eevee Caramel Mousse And Poké Ball Macarons stand out. Accompanying them (and shown from left to right after the caramel mousse in the image below), are a Vaporeon Jelly, Jolteon Chocolate Eclair Cake, Espeon Purple Blueberry and Blackcurrant Cheesecake, Leafeon Green Apple Mousse, and Sylveon Peach and Strawberry Pie.

On the savory side, the afternoon tea box is made up of three dishes, Flaming Flareon spicy chicken meat pies covered in hot sauce, mini burgers with Umbreon black buns and Glaceon jelly on mousse.

▼ Glaceon jelly on a mousse makes one of the dishes designated as “savory” seem like another sweet dish, but we’re the last people you’ll see complaining about an extra dessert.

And if you want to take it even further, you can add an optional Eevee dessert drink, in the form of a fruity floral soda or a hazelnut frappe, or a latte with Eevee art foam..

The Eevee Friends Afternoon Tea will be served at The Strings Omotesando’s Zelkova restaurant, where six outdoor seating areas will also be decorated with Eevee decorations.

The price per person is 6,000 yen (US$39.50) on weekdays or 6,500 yen on weekends, with an additional 1,000 yen if you decide to add a special Eevee drink. You can also opt for a takeout pack for two containing all the dishes for 11,000 yen, if you have a special place where you would like to eat them with someone special.

The Eevee Friends Afternoon Tea will be offered from September 17th to November 30th, and online reservations are already open here . Oh, and it’s worth pointing out that The Strings Omotesando is actually pretty flexible on the “afternoon” part, as it’s available to order between 11:30 AM and 6 PM, so you can still fit it into your schedule even if you’re planning on grabbing a McDonald’s Japan Pokémon Happy Meal for lunch that same day.
