End Bad Governance: No Room For Military Coup, Change Tinubu’s Government – Oshiomhole

Edo North Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday said there was no room for military coup or coup d’etat in Nigeria.

Oshiomhole said it was impossible for a faceless group to demand regime change.

Some protesters from the End Bad Governance In Nigeria movement had demanded the resignation of President Bola Tinubu’s government in the face of the difficulties facing the country.

However, speaking on the morning show Arise News, the All Progressives Congress (APC) leader said: “There is no room for regime change or military takeover. It is impossible for an amorphous group to demand regime change.”

“I commend Tinubu for his patience and the way he has approached these issues. He said, ‘I have listened and heard you, but I would like to see industries coming on stream because that will help fight hunger.

“At no point did I call for regime change during my days of protest, but now I see politicians trying to hijack these protests.

“A peaceful protest can be used to emphasize regime change.”
