A flight in Brazil caught fire following a tragic crash on August 9.

According to ABC NewsA Voepass flight was heading from Cascavel to São Paulo and suddenly began to plummet in the residential area of ​​Vinhedo, outside São Paulo. The plane took off at 11:50 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in São Paulo at 1:40 p.m., according to FlightAware.

The twin-turboprop plane had 62 people on board, including 58 passengers and four crew members. Local authorities say there are no survivors, according to the news site. BBCand no injuries on the ground were reported.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva addressed the incident in a speech at an event on Friday. He called for a minute of silence, according to The Associated Pressand lamented the death of all on board.
