‘Shame on you all’: Megyn Kelly, Piers Morgan and more react to Algerian boxer winning gold after failing gender test

Megyn KellyPiers Morgan and others exploded on social media after the Algerian boxer Imane Khelif — who failed gender tests — was named women’s Olympic champion.

At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris on Friday, Khelif won gold in the women’s welterweight boxing final, prompting immediate reactions on social media.

The host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast blasted the decision, writing in all caps about how unfair it was that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) awarded the gold medal to a boxer who apparently has XY chromosomes.

“Don’t you see? Don’t you see what this madness does to women?” Kelly wrote“WHY DO GIRLS HAVE TO SHARE THEIR BATHROOMS WITH BOYS? THEIR LOCKER ROOMS? THEIR SPORTS ACTIVITIES? THEIR PRISONS?”

Piers, talk show host Morgan called Khelif’s nomination as women’s champion a “travesty.”

“From Emmeline Pankhurst to today… where are the world’s feminists today, when hard-won women’s rights are being so shamefully destroyed?” job read.

“BREAKING: A biological male just won an Olympic gold medal in a women’s boxing competition. Congratulations to everyone who supported this travesty,” he said. added.

When someone tried to claim that the boxer was a female, Morgan silence them by pointing out the facts. “Imane was banned from the World Championships after testing positive for male serotonin. “XY chromosomes.”

“(Imane) has not appealed,” he added. “If (Imane) is a biological female, (Imane) should take another test now and prove it. Spoiler alert: (Imane) will not.”

A former university swimmer and ardent advocate for women’s rights in sport, Riley Gaineswritten on X that “Khelif (XY) dominated world champion Lang Liu (XX) to win an Olympic gold medal.

“Let me repeat that: A MAN won an Olympic gold medal for a WOMAN,” Gaines wrote.

“This is what they call ‘progress,’” she added. “This is the ultimate betrayal of equity, safety and women by (IOCmedia).”

The official social media account of the Independent Women’s Forum wrote on its job“BREAKING: A MAN has won an Olympic gold medal in women’s boxing.

Khelif had previously failed the International Boxing Association’s (IBA) gender eligibility tests but was cleared by the IOC (International Olympic Committee) to compete against biological women at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
