The Best New Shows to Stream on Netflix, Hulu, Max (HBO), and More

August is off to a strong start for streaming services. On Sunday, August 11, HBO and Max premiere the third season of Industry. But if you don’t want to wait until the weekend is almost over, Netflix has the latest season of The Umbrella Academywhile Peacock’s new comedy, Mr. Throwbackabandoned his first season.

Last week’s new shows, including those on Prime Video Batman: The Masked Vigilante and Netflix A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, are still popular choices and likely to be renewed. But it can’t hurt to recommend them to your friends. It’s too early to tell if September will be able to match the number of good shows we already had in August. But that’s a topic for another week.
