This event will be the first time women will compete in Rampage, after years of dialogue, progression and discussion. Ariel took a closer look at what this means for women’s freeride here:

Red Bull athlete and now Rampage competitor Hannah Bergemann said of the event: “I am extremely honored and excited to be competing in the first ever women’s Red Bull Rampage event. Red Bull Rampage is the premier event in freeride mountain biking and I am thrilled that women will be able to compete. I can’t wait to see everyone compete. This will elevate the level of the sport and continue to open doors for the next generation of female mountain bikers.”

We’re excited to see the female athletes compete at Rampage this year and will be publishing more coverage and profiles of these athletes leading up to the event. For ticketing and other information, keep an eye on the Red Bull website.
