Ten fire crews bring major blaze under control in south Tel Aviv – Israel News

A large fire broke out on Hayei Adam Street in southern Tel Aviv and spread to nearby garages and an office building, the Dan District Fire and Rescue Authority reported, and has since been brought under control.

Magen David Adom (MDA) evacuated a firefighter from the scene to receive medical treatment after he was injured.

Ten firefighting teams were deployed to the scene under the command of Fire Chief Moti Yehezkel to fight the blaze. Four teams initially arrived at the scene, and six more teams were dispatched later.

The fire started when a tree caught fire

At around 2:30 p.m., the Dan District 102 emergency center received the first calls about a tree fire in southern Tel Aviv.

Tel Aviv-Jaffa station commander Deputy Commissioner Avi Yehuda, deputy station commander Deputy Commissioner Yaron Korolitsky and district operations officer Deputy Commissioner Meirav Samet were at the scene.

Hayei Adam Street is located in the Nahalat Yitzhak neighborhood.
