Unto Others Warns “Mama Likes It Closed” With Latest Single

Pacific Northwest goth rockers Unto Others release third album Never, Neverland They’re due out next month and so today they’ve released a new single and music video called “Momma Likes the Door Closed.”

With a more traditional heavy metal sound mixed with doom vocals, “Momma Likes the Door Closed” rocks, man. There’s enough riffs for days, the solos are awesome, and honestly… it’s just amusing in the best possible way.

Speaking about the track, Unto Others singer Gabriel Franco said that the song and video are intentionally designed to look like a cheesy ’80s horror movie.

“I’m honestly surprised I wasn’t stoned while putting it together, because it’s a weird track. With elements of punk/thrash/hardcore/post punk/goth and metal, “Momma Likes The Door Closed” is our attempt at recreating an 80s B-horror movie in musical format. Brock hit it big with the video, which should be watched alongside the song for the full experience. Shadows dancing on the floor, never open the door!”

Never, Neverland will be released on September 20th via Century Media, but you can pre-order your copy today. The band also has a long list of tour dates coming up later this year, so you can check out when and where they’ll be and plan accordingly if you want to see them live.
