Valve Officially Announces Deadlock, a Game “In Early Development”

Valve has finally officially announced Dead endin the most minimalist way imaginable. The game now has a Steam page that lists Valve as the developer and publisher, along with a simple note:

Deadlock is in development with lots of temporary artwork and experimental gameplay. Access is currently limited to friend invites through our testers.

Valve doesn’t provide any other details, just an animated teaser image. (You can see a screenshot above.) The system requirements only mention that the game requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.

Today, many streamers are playing the game live, including Shroud, after admin Yoshi stated in the game’s Discord that Valve was lifting its rules against public chats.

While Dead end looks to be another promising addition to Valve’s lineup of great multiplayer games, it’s unclear whether it will have lasting popularity like Counterattack Or Dota 2 or will eventually die out like Artifact.
