Chelsea unveil ‘punk’ inspired third jersey

Chelsea have unveiled their new 2024-25 third kit inspired by the punk rock movement of the 1970s.

The club says the patterned black shirt and shorts “have eye-catching yellow and pink trims and you can peek at the weave to see lots of revived ripped and contrasting punk patterns.

“A “Blues” patch inside is engraved in typography straight out of 1977.”

The pink border includes a badge replaced by the simple lion logo and a double vertical Nike swoosh that “points upwards to celebrate the rise of women’s football.”

The kit was unveiled by the women’s team in their pre-season win over Arsenal on Sunday night and will be worn by the men’s team in upcoming matches.

“With young players at the forefront in 2024 at Chelsea, revisiting one of the greatest explosions of youth cult status couldn’t come at a better time,” the club added.
