Apple’s AirPods Max are back on sale for $399

Apple may be best known for its in-ear AirPods when it comes to sound, but headphone lovers may also want to consider the AirPods Max. These earbuds are a solid option for anyone who wants to stay in the Apple family without worrying about losing a small earbud. The biggest problem is that they’re expensive. But right now, Apple’s AirPods Max are 27% off, down from $549 to $399. The $150 discount is just $4 off their all-time low price during Prime Day and they’re available in every color.

Apple’s AirPods Max hit the market in 2020, the company’s first foray into earbuds, and have remained the only option ever since. We gave these earbuds an 84 in our review, thanks to many features we liked and a few things we weren’t impressed with. We liked the AirPods Max’s active noise-canceling capabilities and the easy-to-use buttons, like when switching between ANC and transparency mode. The earbuds also deliver balanced sound and have a 20-hour charge with ANC and spatial audio enabled.

As we said, the biggest problem with these headphones is probably the price, but this promotion helps a lot. Other aspects that impressed us less are their weight of 385 grams, although the wider headband balances it all out. In addition, the headphones are simply not very comfortable, as the rings are noticeable after only a few minutes of wearing them.
