Photo of jailed murder accused actor Darshan surfaces, sparks debate - News Today

An alleged photograph of Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, currently in judicial custody in the Renukaswamy murder case, along with three others has gone viral.

In the picture, Darshan, currently lodged in Parappana Agrahara Central Jail, is seen in a relaxed mood, sitting on a chair, holding a cigarette and a cup of coffee, in an open space.

According to some reports, those sitting with Darshan are rowdy draper Wilson Garden Naga, and other inmates Nagaraj (the actor’s manager and co-accused) and Kulla Seena.

No official confirmation has been given so far as to whether the photo was taken on the prison premises or elsewhere in the past or whether it is a doctored image.

A total of 17 people, including Darshan and his friend Pavithra Gowda, are currently in judicial custody in connection with Renukaswamy’s murder.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda had recently said that the final report would be submitted to the court by the police in the murder case, at the earliest, after obtaining the remaining forensic reports.

According to police sources, Renukaswamy, 33, a fan of the actor, had sent obscene messages to Gowda, which had infuriated Darshan, leading to the fan’s murder. His body was found near a storm drain next to an apartment in Sumanahalli on June 9.
