Free Air Conditioning Units Being Offered Today to Clarksville’s Most Vulnerable

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Several Clarksville agencies are teaming up to provide heat relief to the community’s most vulnerable.

Window air conditioning units will be distributed today from noon to 4 p.m. behind the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library on Pageant Lane.

The library said the initiative aims to provide units to the most vulnerable members of the community, including seniors, families with young children and veterans.

The number of air conditioning units available is limited. The library has stated that units will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis based on qualified and completed applications. You can apply by following this link provided by the library.

ID is required to pick up a unit and only one unit per household is allowed.

The distribution was made possible through a partnership between the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, United Way of Greater Clarksville Region and Electrolux.
