Parolee accused of killing sneaker dealer ‘Upscale Cracc’ was partially killed by his own kicks: authorities

A ruthless parolee accused of killing notorious sneaker dealer “Upscale Cracc” in SoHo in June was just shot in part by his own black and yellow shoes, new court documents reveal.

Jayquan Straker, 35, was released from prison in September after serving 10 years for a 2013 home invasion robbery in Canarsie, Brooklyn — in which he and a group of men disguised as FedEx men burst in and forced the family to the ground at gunpoint, including a 10-year-old and a 6-year-old.

The suspect was still on parole when he was arrested for alleged illegal possession of a weapon within three months of his release, police sources said.

The fate of Straker’s gun case is unclear – his records are sealed, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office.

But Straker was back on the streets on June 25, when he and an accomplice allegedly killed Javier Osorio-Mejia, 31, an entrepreneur described online as “a mainstay of New York sneaker outlets for years.”

Straker, from upstate Poughkeepsie, was linked to the chilling murder using video from the Manhattan murder scene and his own phone — both of which showed him wearing easily identifiable sneakers, according to court documents.

Officers “viewed videos contained in the defendant’s iCloud content of him wearing black and yellow sneakers that matched the black and yellow sneakers worn by the individual who fired the firearm at 40 Greene Street,” the criminal complaint states.

Straker was arrested Saturday, charged with Osorio-Mejia’s murder and held without bail.

His alleged accomplice is still around.

The suspects allegedly located their victim at a strip club, the Dream Gentleman’s Club, in Queens, and then followed him when Osorio-Mejia drove off with a woman in his white Land Rover.

Osorio-Mejia stopped in SoHo and got out of the expensive car to go to the bathroom, which is when he was attacked by the robbers, authorities said.

Straker is accused of pulling out a gun and shooting him, then joining his evil friend in stealing the victim’s lifeless body, including a Rolex.

Osorio-Mejia was reportedly targeted because of the flashy jewelry he wore in photos posted online.
