Bayer Leverkusen considering loan move for Liverpool midfielder

The transfer window continues, even though the Premier League has started. Liverpool have won their first two games but are failing to conquer the transfer market. The restructuring is progressing slowly, but for now, there are more departures than arrivals.

Another player attracting interest from overseas clubs is Tyler Morton, a 21-year-old midfielder who is said to be of particular interest to Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso. Morton has spent the last two seasons in the Championship, first with Blackburn Rovers and then with Hull City.

The Englishman has trained with the first team for pre-season and the start of the season, but has yet to start for Arne Slot. Alonso wants him on a new season-long loan. Liverpool are considering it at the moment, but the decision could be made depending on what business they have to do between now and the end of the loan spell. Indeed, the Reds are competing in four competitions and have to prepare for a long eight months.

The wheels continue to turn as fans eagerly await the end of Slot’s first newcomer. In the meantime, it’s likely that other fringe players, like Morton, will see their way to the exit before the dust settles.
