MARSHALL — Marshall police are still searching for a person in connection with a shooting incident at a Marshall hotel earlier this month, Marshall Public Safety Director Jim Marshall said.

Marshall said the incident is still under investigation and he could not provide details on what happened. He did, however, say an arrest warrant for Ed Lawrence Robert Tores, Jr. is outstanding.

Marshall said Tores’ photo and description were posted on the Marshall Police Department’s website. “Most Wanted” website. The post said Tores was wanted for dangerous possession of a weapon, unlawful discharge of a firearm and second-degree assault.

Marshall police and the Regional Emergency Response Unit were called to the 1500 block of East College Drive around 12:33 a.m. on Aug. 2 for an incident in which a firearm was discharged in a hotel room. Police said no injuries were reported in the incident and officers made contact with two women who were present in the hotel room when the firearm was discharged.
