Azerbaijan hails partnership with Moldova in Independence Day message

BAKU, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) — Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Moldovan President Maia Sandu on the country’s Independence Day.

In his congratulatory message, Aliyev highlighted the strong relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova, which are rooted in traditions of friendship and mutual respect.

“Today there are excellent opportunities to further develop cooperation between our countries and enrich it with new content,” the Azerbaijani leader noted in his message.

Aliyev also expressed confidence that the strong interstate relations will continue to strengthen the traditional ties of friendship and partnership between the two nations, both bilaterally and multilaterally.
