‘The Fat Jew’ Puts Miami Home Up for Sale

‘The Fat Jew’ Puts Miami Home Up for Sale

After three years of ownership, Josh Ostrovsky is ready to sell his coastal oasis in the upscale South Florida enclave of Miami Shores, just minutes from downtown Miami. Records show that the social media influencer turned canned wine mogul—known to his 9.5 million Instagram followers as “The Fat Jewish”—has listed the mid-century modern home for $4.25 million, nearly double the $2.5 million he and wife Caitlin King paid for the home just over three years ago, in the summer of 2021.

Originally designed by famed architect Joseph J. DeBrita and completed in 1950, this sprawling white stucco and stone-accented structure sits in the middle of a corner lot spanning nearly half an acre. Recently renovated, the so-called Panorama House offers five bedrooms and an equal number of bathrooms in just over 3,800 square feet of living space on two levels with terrazzo floors and wood-beam ceilings.

Highlights include a living room with a stone fireplace and wet bar, and a dining room with glass doors opening to a spacious hexagonal loggia with a newly installed barbecue. Also notable is the elegantly designed Italian kitchen, equipped with an island and high-end appliances, and a master suite with a walk-in closet and a spa-like bathroom with a steam shower and a floating vanity with dual sinks.

Elsewhere, there’s a separate guest suite, as well as a large, window-lined multipurpose space that’s currently used as a screening/recreation room. In addition to the aforementioned loggia, the landscaped grounds also house a 42-foot pool with a Baja shelf. According to the listing, which is shared by George Burns and David Pullman of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, there’s also a two-car garage and plenty of space for a tennis/pickleball court.

According to the new York PostThe couple is selling because Ostrovsky no longer wants to own the property. “It’s a lot of work, with the landscaping and everything, and he’s from New York and he’s not used to it,” Burns told the outlet. “Maybe he’ll find another business. But he’s a very nomadic person and he could end up anywhere after this.”

Born in New York and previously voiced by Time Named one of the “30 Most Influential People on the Internet” by the magazine, Ostrovsky is probably best known for his racy memes and viral videos. But he also co-founded a canned wine brand that was acquired in 2019 by beverage giant Anheuser-Busch, the company’s largest investment in wine at the time.
