Notre Dame women’s basketball announces non-conference schedule

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – One day after the men’s team announced its non-conference schedule for the upcoming season, the Notre Dame women’s basketball team is following suit.

Following an exhibition at home against Davenport on Oct. 30, the Irish will begin their season at Purcell Pavilion on Nov. 4 with a matchup against Mercyhurst.

After a quick trip to West Lafayette on Nov. 10 to face Purdue, the Irish will return home to host James Madison on Nov. 13.

The Irish will then hit the road for their next four games, starting with a trip to Easton, Pa., on Nov. 17 to face Lafayette in a make-up game from 2022 that was postponed due to health and safety protocols.

After that, they’ll head to Los Angeles on Nov. 23 for a game against USC in what could be a top 10 matchup.

For Thanksgiving break, Notre Dame will travel to the Cayman Islands for a pair of games in the Cayman Islands Classic on Nov. 29 and Nov. 30. Opponents have yet to be determined.

Notre Dame will then have back-to-back home games against likely top 10 opponents in Texas on Dec. 5 and Connecticut on Dec. 12. The Texas game was previously announced as part of this year’s SEC/ACC Challenge.

The Irish will then close their non-conference slate with two more home games against Eastern Michigan on Dec. 15 and Loyola (MD) on Dec. 22.

The team’s conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
