Timex wants to give your Apple Watch a new look

Timex is a fan favorite watchmaker. Speed patrol I’ve been a loyal reader for as long as I can remember. Known for its vast catalog of gorgeous, bespoke, and retro-inspired watches that are all incredibly affordable, Timex has temporarily shifted its focus to another type of watch: the Apple Watch.

Ahead of next week’s big Apple event where, in addition to new iPhones, the Cupertino giant is also expected to unveil new smartwatches, Timex has revealed its latest collection of Apple Watch bands – including four different Apple Watch bands.

Timex’s new stainless steel bands for the Apple Watch come in two versions. The model above looks strikingly similar to the two-tone stainless steel band on the Q Timex Malibu.

There’s a stainless steel band that pays homage to the Q Timex Malibu. There’s a flexible rubber strap that takes inspiration from Timex’s Ironman watches. There’s a gray leather strap, which is notable since Apple no longer sells leather accessories. And there’s a flexible rubber strap for those looking for something a little more rugged.

The most interesting thing is that these new Timex bands for Apple Watch stay true to the company’s ethos and are quite affordable. Depending on the size and model, each one costs between $50 and $60.
