Jason Kelce Says It’ll Be ‘Hilarious’ When His Kids Meet Taylor Swift’s Cats After Telling Them They’re Poisonous

The retired NFL player earlier joked that he tells his daughters that cats are poisonous and therefore they wouldn’t want to bring one home.

Jason Kelce can’t wait for his daughters to meet Taylor Swift’s cats one day, even if it would expose her feline-related lies.

After the 36-year-old retired NFL pro shared on his podcast New heights With Jason and Travis Kelce telling their daughters that cats “are poisonous” to avoid adding a feline friend to their household, one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter, had a hilarious reaction to imagining Jason’s daughters meeting Taylor Swift’s cats, Meredith, Benjamin, and Olivia.

“Jason Kelce told his kids cats were poisonous so they wouldn’t have to have one?? LOL Call Tree Paine on the phone 😭,” one user wrote, referring to Swift’s manager.

“And what’s Jason’s plan when they meet Aunt TayTay’s cats?” another asked. Swift has been dating Jason’s brother Travis Kelce, 34, since last summer.

“It’s going to be hilarious,” Jason replied.

Jason shares daughters Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, 17 months, with wife Kylie Kelce.

On the Tuesday, September 3 episode of his podcast, Jason shared his plan to dissuade his family from adding a cat to their brood.

“You know what my latest plan is to keep our family from getting a cat? I keep telling our girls that cats are poisonous,” Jason revealed, referring to his three daughters.

“Why the hell did you tell them that?” Travis asked.

“…So they don’t want cats,” Jason explains. “And I don’t have to take care of a cat and terrify them.”

“That’s crazy,” Travis replied. Seemingly unfazed, Jason said, “Whatever. They’ll figure it out. I think lying to your kids is a big deal,” he joked.

“Not in this case,” Travis said with a laugh. “They’re going to go to a friend’s house and scream bloody murder because they see a cat.”

“That’s good. That sounds like the problem with that person’s house,” Jason continued.
