On Wednesday morning, an incident occurred on a school bus transporting students to Carbon High School (CHS). According to the Carbon School District (CSD), the incident was reported as a possible stabbing, to which staff responded accordingly.

The CSD said EMS and law enforcement were dispatched to the high school, where they encountered the bus. The injured student was treated for a minor hand injury and was later released to a parent. The other student involved was released to law enforcement and, according to the district, will also face consequences from the incident within the school.

“The Carbon School District would like to thank our law enforcement and EMS community partners for their continued efforts to support our students and staff,” said CSD Superintendent Mika Salas.
