DURING THE MORNING:

Isolated showers will gradually become more frequent this evening. However, most people will not have rain.

A cold front will move into the area around dinnertime, bringing more showers and a few thunderstorms. Be prepared for a brief period of rain if you have outdoor plans tonight. Pack your rain gear so you’re prepared.

Evening temperatures will remain around 70°F. Lows will drop to 60°F in the morning.

THIS WEEKEND:

A gusty north wind will blow early Saturday morning. Clouds will diminish from north to south during the morning, allowing for full sunshine by the afternoon. Humidity will decrease quickly during the day Saturday. Most morning temperatures will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Expect highs in the 70s. The high in Nashville will be 78.

Saturday night will be a very autumnal day, with temperatures dropping to the low 15s at sunset, then to the low 10s.

Temperatures Sunday morning will start in the 40s and 50s, so many will want a sweatshirt, sweater or light jacket.

Sunday afternoon will be sunny, humidity will be very low and temperatures will be unusually mild. Highs will be 80.

NEXT WEEK:

After a few cool mornings early next week, the afternoon heat will return.

On Monday, high temperatures will reach the mid-80s under sunny skies.

Tuesday and Wednesday, skies remain bright with highs near 90 degrees.

The only chance of rain next week will be from Thursday to Friday. So far, it is only 20%. Maximum temperatures will be between 25 and 30 degrees on both days.
