You know you are THIS girl when there’s an entire hip-hop song named after you, yes, that’s the life of media mogul Scottie Beam who dazzles in New Era’s “Forever New York” campaign, featuring looks featuring the NFL organized by a dynamic BMX star Nigel Sylvestre.

Inspired by Nigel’s New York roots, the stunning campaign “blends street fashion with high-end styling for a look and feel that’s globally New York-centric,” according to the press release.

To bring his unique vision to life, Sylvester called upon some of his New York’s best (and hippest), including Harlem rapper Dave East, Book of Power III: The Education of Kanan star MeKai Curtis, NFL quarterback Tyrod Taylor, world-renowned jeweler and Queens native Greg Yuna, Bronx villain Scottie Beam, and many more.

“The creative freedom to push the boundaries of sports, art and fashion has inspired me for years throughout my journey as an unconventional athlete in the world of sports,” Sylvester said of the sports campaign. “As the creative advisor for this campaign, I personally selected these individuals for what they represent and for their deep connection and impact in their respective communities here in the city.”

This groundbreaking partnership brings together long-time collaborators New Era and Nigel Sylvester who first worked together in 2017 and have launched several successful brand campaigns in recent years.

“Working with Nigel allows us to once again benefit from his unique vision as a creator and athlete who combines art and function,” said Mark Maidment, New Era’s senior vice president of brand and marketing. “This campaign reaffirms our dedication to sports culture and our passion for innovative design for those who seek refined, offbeat and authentic style for individual expression.”
