Michigan football team to wear all blue uniforms against Texas

The Michigan football team has arguably its biggest non-conference game in decades and the Wolverines are returning to their old reliability.

The Corn and Blue have had some big games over the last three years and with Texas coming up, this is no exception. Michigan will be dressed appropriately, ready to wear what they currently wear for the biggest game of all.

The official Michigan Football X account (formerly Twitter) used a video from EA Sports College Football 25 to share that the team will, in fact, wear the “big game blues” on Saturday against the Longhorns, reserved for the Wolverines’ biggest games.

Michigan began wearing the “big game blues” in 2021, starting with the Week 2 game against Washington. The Wolverines wore it again in Week 13 in the upset win over Ohio State. Michigan also wore it against Ohio State in 2023 and again in the national championship game against the Huskies.

The only time the maize and blue lost while wearing the “big game blues” was in 2021, when they wore them in the Capital One Orange Bowl against Georgia in the College Football Playoff semifinals.

Texas announced Thursday that it will wear all white in the Week 2 contest.
