Tea perfect summer beach read turned mini-series is now streaming on Netflix.

Based on TeaNew York Times bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand’s novel by the same name, The Perfect Coupletransports viewers to Nantucket, Mass., where the Winburys are hosting a lavish family wedding at their seaside estate, Summerland. However, things take a dark turn when a body washes up on the property just hours before the bride and groom are to say, “I do.” Suddenly, the quintessential family is swept up in a murder investigation — and everyone is a suspect.

Four years after working together on HBO’s The Undoingdirector Susanne Bier is at the helm of The Perfect Couple with Nicole Kidman as her leading lady.

“I called Nicole and said, ‘Would you be interested in playing someone that we don’t necessarily like, but we can’t help be fascinated by?’ “Beer recalled to Tudumin September 2024. Kidman’s response was every director’s dream, saying: “Whatever you want me to do, I’ll be there.”

Deemed the “finest actress of our times” by author Hilderbrand, Nicole Kidman plays matriarch and famous murder-mystery novelist Greer Garrison Winbury.

Kidman received her first Academy Award nomination in 2002 for Moulin Rouge! and won the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role the following year for The Hours.

She is married to country music star Keith Urban, and the couple share two daughters, Sunday and Faith. The actress is also mom to Bella and Connor, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Eve Hewson as Amelia Sacks

Eve Hewson plays Amelia Sacks — the blushing bride marrying into the Winbury family.

Hewson is an Irish actress who gained popularity after starring in Netflix’s psychological drama Behind Her Eyes. Fans also know her as Bono’s daughter.

She is currently single but was formerly linked to One Tree Hill alum James Lafferty and actor Max Minghella.

Liev Schreiber as Tag Winbury

Liev Schreiber portrays Tag Winbury, the charming father of the groom and dedicated husband to Greer.

Schreiber has an extensive list of acting credits, but he’s best known for playing the Hollywood “fixer” Ray Donovan and journalist Marty Baron in Spotlight.

The actor married Taylor Neisen in July 2023, just a month before the couple welcomed their first child, Hazel Bee. Schreiber is also dad to Sasha and Kai, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Naomi Watts.

Dakota Fanning as Abby Winbury

Dakota Fanning plays snarky Abby Winbury, who is married to and expecting a baby with Thomas Winbury.

Fanning first started acting at the age of 6. In 2001, she became the youngest SAG nominee in history when she was recognized for her performance in I Am Sam. The actress went on to star in Uptown Girls and War of the Worldsamong other major films.

Billy Howle as Benji Winbury

Billy Howle plays the handsome groom, Benji Winbury.

Howle is a British actor who previously appeared in Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker and, more recently, alongside Naomi Watts in 2022’s Infinite Storm.

Meghann Fahy as Merritt Monaco

Meghann Fahy plays Amelia’s best friend and maid of honor, Merritt Monaco.

Fahy skyrocketed in popularity when she starred on Freeform’s The Bold Type for five seasons. She went on to star in season 2 of The White Lotus.

Coincidentally, she put her boyfriend, Leo Woodall, on the set of the hit HBO series.

Ishaan Khatter plays Benji’s best man. The childhood best friends attended boarding school together.

Khatter is a rising Bollywood actor. The Perfect Couple marks his first major Hollywood role aside from an appearance in Netflix’s Don’t Look Up.

He is rumored to be dating model Chandni Bainz.

Jack Reynor as Thomas Winbury

Reynor has more than 30 acting credits, including Prime Video’s The Peripheral and Flora and Son — a film he starred alongside Hewson.

He is in a long-term relationship with photographer Madeline Mulqueen.

Sam Nivola plays the youngest Winbury son, Will.

Nivola is following in his parents’ footsteps. He is the son of actors Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola. To date, Sam has appeared in several major flicks such as White Noise and Maestro.

Michael Beach as Dan Carter

Michael Beach portrays Nantucket’s chief of police, Dan Carter.

Beach has been acting for nearly 40 years. Fans know him best from the 1999 crime drama Third Watchwhich aired for six seasons. More recently, he starred in Mayor of Kingstown.

Beach has eight children — four with his current wife, Elisha Wilson, and four with his ex-wife, Tracey Beach.

Donna Lynne Champlin as Nikki Henry

Donna Lynne Champlin plays the state detective tasked with assisting local police in solving the murder.

Champlin kicked off her acting career with a guest appearance on Law & Order. She went on to star in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend as Paula Proctor.

The actress has been married to Andrew Arrow since 2010. They share a son named Charlie.

Isabelle Adjani as Isabel Nallet

Isabelle Adjani plays a close family friend of the Winbury family.

Adjani is a French actress and singer. She famously dated actor Daniel Day-Lewis from 1989 to 1995. They welcomed his son, Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, shortly after calling him quits. She also shares her Barnabé Nuytten with French cinematographer Bruno Nuytten, whom she dated from 1976 to 1981.
