$5,000 reward offered for unsolved 1981 Orange County murder

A $5,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to an arrest in a 43-year-old Orange County cold case.

Warwick police said in a Facebook post about the reward that the renewed efforts to find Dawn Marino’s killer come in response to “recent developments” in the case.

The FBI was among local and state law enforcement seen handing out leaflets last week at a roadblock near where she was last seen.

Marino was 20 in 1981 when she disappeared outside a Pine Island bar after a night out with friends.

His body was found six years later, on Halloween, in a cistern in Warwick.
