Heavy flooding submerges cars in Orlando neighborhood

ORLANDO, Florida – An Orlando neighborhood was flooded Monday as severe storms moved through the region.

Images submitted by News 6 viewer Christopher Camp show vehicles at West Winter Park Street and Oberlin Avenue in College Park nearly completely submerged.

Video from the scene shows a fire truck parked nearby as rain continues to fall.

By Monday evening, much of the flooding at that intersection had subsided.

This area of ​​Orlando is not alone, however, as several locations across the city have suffered intense flooding due to the continued onslaught of storms in Central Florida over the past few weeks.

Last week, the Thornton Park neighborhood experienced similar flooding.

Many other locations in Central Florida have also seen their share of rainy weather in recent weeks.
