A Gallery for Good: Breast Cancer Advocacy Group ICanServe Launches Pink Room at the Brittany Hotel

Advocacy group ICanServe recently launched The Pink Room, a thematic gallery aimed at bringing together art and fashion to raise awareness about breast cancer detection and treatment, at the Brittany Hotel in Bonifacio Global City.

ICanServe President Crisann Celdran, Founding President Kara Magsanoc-Alikpala and AllValue President Camille Villar inaugurated the Pink Room located on the second level of the Brittany Hotel BGC.

“It takes a lot of courage for women with breast cancer to fight their battle. But through support groups like the ICanServe Foundation, many patients can get help to overcome the challenges of breast cancer. And that goes for both men and women, because it’s not exclusive to women,” Villar said.

“I am also pleased that we can help ICanServe bring this partnership to life, especially for a cause that is close to my heart,” added Villar, who as a legislator introduced a measure promoting early detection and prevention of breast cancer.

Villar said she did not hesitate to push for breast cancer awareness, noting that it is the third deadliest type of cancer affecting Filipinos, after lung and liver cancer.

The Pink Room: A gallery for good

With the idea of ​​merging fashion and art as a force for good, the Pink Room gallery will be at the Brittany Hotel BGC until September 14.

A unique gallery that bridges sneaker culture and local crafts, The Pink Room features the works of 25 renowned Filipino artists such as National Artist Benedicto “Bencab” Cabrera, Elmer Borlongan, Carlo Calma, and Lilianna Manahan, among others. Each artist transformed a pair of Nike Air Force 1 Ultra White shoes into a unique work of art. The pairs will be auctioned on September 14, with proceeds going to ICanServe’s breast cancer initiatives.

In addition to the gallery, the Brittany Hotel Smiles for Miles activity was also launched, which aims to contribute even more to the cause of ICanServe. Alongside the event, well-meaning fitness enthusiasts can add a mileage counter by walking and running, with their effort to participate in the charitable donation to ICanServe.
