PLATTE COUNTY — Law enforcement is investigating a bank robbery and is asking for help identifying a suspect.

Early Wednesday, the FBI and the Parkville Police Department were notified of damage that occurred Tuesday night to the new, unopened Chase Bank located at 9000 Tom Watson Parkway in Parkville, according to a city news release.

Initial reports indicate that the individual responsible threw a Molotov cocktail at the ATM attached to the bank and that several windows were damaged.

This bank has not officially opened and no one was injured or present during the incident.

The FBI is working alongside the Parkville Police Department in this case. The city has released security camera footage showing the individual believed to be the suspect.
