Dog Jumps Out of Car to Chase Deer in Rochester, New York: Watch Video

Footage captured by a driver in the car behind the dog shows the German shepherd watching the deer as it nibbled on grass on the sidewalk in what appears to be a residential neighborhood. Seconds later, the dog leapt out of the slow-moving car, leash around its neck, and began chasing the deer.

The two ran between the trees and it was not immediately clear whether the German shepherd managed to return home.

The incident reportedly took place in Rochester, upstate New York, according to SWNS.

The city’s animal services department did not immediately respond to USA TODAY’s request for comment on the incident.
