North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Announces VOCA Grant Recipients

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – The North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (ND DOCR) has announced the 37 subrecipients of the Fiscal Year 2025 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant.

The grant supports local agencies specializing in services and provides direct funding for these services for crime victims. Last year, in 2023, a total of 17,444 North Dakotans received direct services through the VOCA grant fund. Some of these services include personal defense, forensic exams, safe shelters, and crisis intervention.

A total of $3.5 million will be awarded to the organizations listed below:

  • Abuse Awareness Center, Inc., Valley City, North Dakota
  • Barnes County Victim Assistance Program, Valley City, North Dakota
  • Family Crisis Center, Bottineau, North Dakota
  • Burleigh County Victim Assistance Program, Bismarck, North Dakota
  • CAWS North Dakota, Bismarck, North Dakota
  • Community Violence Response Center, Grand Forks, North Dakota
  • Cass County Victim Assistance Program, Fargo, North Dakota
  • Central Dakota Forensic Nurses, Bismarck, North Dakota
  • Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center, Bismarck, North Dakota
  • Domestic Violence Crisis Center, Minot, North Dakota
