Ireland weather: Temperatures set to drop tonight as Met Éireann predicts ‘cold’ Friday

Nighttime temperatures will drop to between 1 and 4 degrees this evening after a cool, bright day of sunshine and a few showers.

Maximum temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees are expected throughout Thursday, before dropping overnight.

Friday will start cool and dry, with sunny spells and scattered rain expected as temperatures reach highs of 13 to 16 degrees.

High pressure will build over Ireland throughout next week, bringing dry and pleasant weather, and this weekend is also looking mild.

On Saturday, showers will move into west Munster, Connacht and Ulster in the late morning and afternoon, but it is likely to remain dry in Leinster and east Munster “with some rain showers or drizzle”.

Maximum temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees are expected before showers on Saturday evening, while minimums of 10 to 13 degrees are expected.

Further rain is expected on Sunday, but cloud and clear spells will also break through the drizzle forecast for the southeast in the morning.

It will be a generally dry day with highs of 16 to 19 degrees before dropping to lows of 10 to 12 degrees overnight.

On Monday, maximum temperatures will be 12 to 22 degrees during the day, with minimums of 13 to 16 degrees expected overnight, while Thursday will also be a warm and very sunny day with maximums of 20 to 23 degrees.
